Germany’s GEW campaign “Gründerwoche” reaches a new peak this year with a nationwide network of more than 900 partners organizing more than 1,800 events during the week.
On Friday, November 15, 2013, the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, Dr. Philipp Rösler, addressed the nation with a call to action:
“We are thankful to our entrepreneurs for their excellent products, technologies and services. For Germany’s future success we need more founders with new ideas. With Gründerwoche we want to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of Germany and encourage you to become an entrepreneur.”
GEW Germany’s 2013 partners include chambers of commerce and skilled crafts, regional and local business development agencies, ministries, educational institutions and many other organizations building regional networks to strengthen the impact of Germany’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Below are just a few highlights from GEW Germany partners:
- Gründerregion Allgäu – A strong network of various partners from different regions is organizing almost 30 events during the week.
- Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH has reached 40 events.
- Gründerwoche Magdeburg, organized by the recently established “Verein Generation Selbständig e.V.”, a non-profit association, is another top partner for GEW Germany.
- Gründerwoche in Greifswald 20.-23.11.2013 has developed a series of events in one of the north-eastern regions of Germany.

The Saarland’s ‘SOG-Gründermesse 2013'
Baden-Württemberg’s “Existenzgründungstag Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar” in Frankenthal was attended by over 1.100 visitors.
18. November 2013:
“Gründen, Fördern, Wachsen” official opening event of GEW Germany in the state of Hessen is taking place at the interesting “The Squaire”, located at Frankfurt-Main airport.
