GEW Never Give up poetry and gospel concert CLOSES THE CURTAIN ON GEW 2017

Host organization, The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, in collaboration with GEW partners celebrated GEW 2017 with various activities in the north and south of the island. The theme for the week was “Cultivating young leaders for Entrepreneurial Success” and it brought into focus the need to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystems in St. Lucia which can translate to job creation, thereby contributing to economic growth.

GEW celebrations begun with an “Entrepreneurs Speed Networking Forum” hosted by the RBC Royal Bank on 13th November 2017.  Successful entrepreneurs and experts in the field of Marketing, Information Technology, Public Relations, Law, Human resource, Media Marketing, Accounting and Banking, shared their experience and provided individual consultancy to approximately 60 aspiring young entrepreneurs

The GEW Never give up poetry and gospel concert took place on Saturday November 18th 2017 at Chateau heritage Dennery and brought the curtain down on the GEW 2017 celebrations.

The week was a tremendous success with an increase in partner organizations planning and hosting panel discussions, speed networking activity, exhibitions, DECA Idea Challenge and talk shows leading up to and throughout the week November 13th – 17th 2017. GEW 2017 has raised awareness surrounding the importance of entrepreneurs to our nation’s prosperity and economic security and provided ways for aspiring entrepreneurs to connect with mentors, investors, government officials and policy makers to discuss and find new ways of doing things.

The St Lucia Chamber of Commerce says thank you to all partners and individuals for their support and contribution to GEW 2017.
