GEW'22 | Bridging the ICT Education Gap in Pakistan

Of the 25,000 tech graduates finishing university each year, only 10% are considered ‘employable’ by the IT and ITeS industry, i.e. they possess the technical skills, communication competency, professional behaviours, and mindsets that employers require. All segments of the IT face an imminent talent shortage that will affect their ability to maintain their rapid growth. P@SHA has facilitated discussions and interventions in the post-graduate and graduate stage. They are zeroing in on the root cause, and aim to discuss preparing young minds for quality contribution to the IT Sector through long-term efforts.
They recently conducted a round table on making ICT education effective and industry-relevant in the K-12 space to ensure learners are active contributors to the Knowledge Economy.
