GLOBAL SOCIAL INNOVATION RELAY
As Hp marked global day of service on 20th May 2014 the national Social Innovation Relay competition in partnership with HP and Strathmore university was also held in a bid to celebrate. Kenya's Malre Group from Lenana School clinched the top spot national Social Innovation relay competition hence represented the country during the global competition.
With the competition coming to an end in 2014 Malre group which came up with an innovative idea of using yeast to suffocate and repel mosquitoes proved to the world that in deed they are able to solve a menace that has been affecting Africa at large. With the ultimate solution to a continental menace they were able to claim the top spot globally during the Social Innovation relay global competitions.
