Together We Rise : Building an Impact Entrepreneur Ecosystem

"Entrepreneur is A Mindset"

The seminar "Together We Rise: Building an Impact Entrepreneur Ecosystem" discussed strategies for creating an ecosystem that supports impactful entrepreneurship. The event featured Mrs. Martya Litna from the Center for Indonesian Policy Studies (CIPS), a non-profit think tank that has produced global research on Indonesian issues, and Mr. Edwin Hendriadi, Deputy Chairman of the Manufacturing and Renewable Energy Division of APINDO.

The seminar began with an interactive ice-breaking session themed "What does it mean to be an entrepreneur?" The speakers emphasized that entrepreneurship is not merely about owning a business but cultivating an innovative mindset that can be applied in various contexts.

Mrs. Martya elaborated on the challenges faced by digital MSMEs, including difficulties in reaching a broader market, high logistics costs, limited promotion, and insufficient mastery of digital technology. Public policies are often crafted without a thorough understanding of ground realities, necessitating approaches like co-regulation, where governments and industries collaborate.

The 3Ps concept for impactful entrepreneurship was highlighted:

  • Product: Products must address societal needs and create market impact.
  • People: Collaboration is key to success.
  • Perseverance: Resilience in overcoming obstacles and continuing to innovate.

The next session featured a discussion moderated by Andreas Adiel with both speakers, Edwin Hendriadi and Martya Litna, emphasizing the importance of media, academia, and innovation in building an entrepreneurial ecosystem. They shared company management strategies and stressed the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone, even when risks are involved. “Entrepreneurship is a mindset. With it, you can make an impact anywhere,” said both speakers.

The session concluded with a stakeholder mapping discussion to understand the strategic roles of various parties in creating a sustainable and innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event closed with an appreciation ceremony for the two speakers, along with a gift from Universitas Ciputra.
