Intellectual Property Strategy for Entrepreneurs

Intellectual property issues often are among the most important considerations that an entrepreneur will encounter. A business will face many issues such as developing product/services, executing marketing strategies, hiring qualified employees, and more. With all of these issues, intellectual property can feel distracting, expensive, or contrary to the goals of just getting a product to market before someone else does.

However, intellectual property is often the most valuable asset of any business. Protecting intellectual property can be essential to expand the business or  prevent competitors from unfairly competing with you.

In this talk show, we invited Mr. Andrew Ong, Director, Division for Asia and the Pacific for World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) a United Nation specialized agency on Intellectual Property to help entrepreneurs to understand more about the role of intellectual property in business. There will also a sharing session with 2 Indonesian entrepreneurs, Ms. Margarita Astaman (Founder of Java Fresh) and Mr. Andri Mahendra (Founder of Nicslab) to share their entrepreneurial journey including their perspective on IP.
