R.E.Pr.I.S.E. - Research on Entrepreneurship Processes, Innovation, and Startup Enterprises *1 session*

Scientific research tends to become increasingly fragmented. Conferences, workshops, seminars, and journal special issues encourage research on selected areas of research, specific topics, and exclusive concepts that can stand out from the rest and be immediately recognizable.

What about research on wide areas of research, general topics, and common concepts?

Although they remain the foundations of research, they inevitably evolve. Therefore, they require updating, clarification, and reworking.

The 1^ R.E.Pr.I.S.E. conference embraces this perspective and looks for contributions that can update, clarify, and rework three core concepts:

Entrepreneurship Processes – Innovation – Startup Enterprises

Specifically, the conference calls for research engaging with these broad, foundational, and evolving constructs, recognizing how these core concepts require continuous scholarly refinement. In this regard, contributions should advance:

  • Conceptual updating, to reflect emerging phenomena and shifting contextual conditions;
  • Theoretical clarification and methodological refinement, to consolidate, integrate, and refine existing explanatory frameworks;
  • Systematic reworking, considering ongoing economic, technological, institutional, and societal transformations.

In this spirit, the conference encourages scholars to critically reassess and further develop these domains in response to contemporary challenges, including digital transformation, sustainability transitions, evolving ecosystem configurations, and heightened global uncertainty.

The 1^ R.E.Pr.I.S.E. conference will kick off on November 16th at 09:30 a.m. with Prof. Eric Liguori.

Dr. Liguori is the Jim Moran Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Associate Dean of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. He currently serves as Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Small Business Management and Immediate Past Chair of AACSB’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Affinity Group. His expertise is sought after by leading Fortune 100 companies and governments alike.
