Joint Business Breakfast with American Councils for International Education: “Building Human Capital: How can US educational programs strengthen business in Tajikistan”

AmCham Tajikistan is glad to announce that we are organizing a joint Business Breakfast with American Councils for International Education on: “Building Human Capital: how can US educational programs strengthen business in Tajikistan”, which will be held on May 22, 2019 at Dushanbe Hilton Hotel, Club Lounge, 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Business Breakfast is free.

We are inviting Ms. Margaret Grieve, Vice-Chair of the Board of U.S. - Central Asia Education Foundation and President of PMG Management Inc.  and Mrs. Rosa Thiele, Manager of the Higher Education Programs Division at American Councils in Washington DC to our Business Breakfast. Ms. Margaret Grieve's and Rosa Thiele's biographies are attached below.

Margaret (Peggy) Mary Grieve

Vice-Chair of the U.S.-CAEF Board

Margaret (Peggy) Grieve is the President of PMG Management, Inc., a private company, responsible for managing the Grieve family office. Before assuming this responsibility in 2012, she had a successful career as a financial services lawyer, most recently serving as Managing Director of Bank of America, N.A., with responsibility for legal services for its global asset and liability management business and strategic planning and acquisitions.  Prior to that, she was Managing Director and General Counsel for Barclays Bank PLC’s North American operations.  She has lived and practiced in London, Hong Kong and New York.   She serves on the boards of several charitable organizations, the U.S.- Central Asia Education Foundation, the Child Mind Institute, Inc., the American Friends of Turkey and Landmark Cultural Center.

Rosa Thiele

American Councils

Mrs. Rosa Thiele is manager of the Higher Education Programs Division at American Councils in Washington, DC, where she oversees the U.S.-Central Asia Education Foundation Enterprise Student Fellowship Program (U.S.-CAEF), the United States Timor-Leste Scholarship Program (USTL) sponsored by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and funded by the US Department of State, and a range of customized executive learning programs.  Prior to American Councils, Mrs. Thiele taught English courses at the University of World Languages in Almaty and held positions with the US Peace Corps in Kazakhstan and Abt Associates, a USAID implementing partner, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
