"The idea of Vision 2030 is no longer for Kenya one that we hope for, it is Generation 2030 that is upon us. As we celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week it is evident that the exciting ideas being presented are the concepts that will shape the economic activity of our generation. Our ability as leaders to nurture this talent and knowledge will enable the splendor of our heritage to find it's place within the global wealth of nations. Our support of this entrepreneurial spirit will shape the quality and dignity of our generations workforce. As the regions gateway City, our goal is to be in this generation, the reality of Mombasa's entrepreneurial legacy. Our talent, knowledge and workforce development program is set to raise 600 new entrepreneurs over the next 3 years through our City Polytechnics and Master Craft Centers." These were the words of Hon. Lewa Tendai Mtana, Executive Secretary, Education and Children at the County Government of Mombasa as they launched the commencement of Global Entrepreneurship Week in Mombasa.
