LET’S TALK BUSINESS: #TECH2GROW

In support of Global Entrepreneurship Week Canada, you are invited to attend “Let’s Talk BUSINESS: #Tech2Grow,” an interactive panel discussion being hosted by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in collaboration with Futurpreneur and Startup Canada.

The purpose of this event is for the government to gain insight into the role of technology in SME growth, with a focus on underrepresented groups such as women, youth and Indigenous entrepreneurs.

Take two hours out of your day to hear from three leaders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem who will provide “Ted Talk” style presentations based on questions from you.

Stephen Partridge, international investor, advisor, board member of Startup Canada, and co-creator of Events.com, will moderate the discussion with the following entrepreneurs :

Ms. Bojana Nedic, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Pearl’s Choice.

As an occupational therapy researcher, Bojana was surprised to discover the significant gaps in retirement planning resources available to caregivers and the elderly. This gave her the idea to build a comprehensive and accessible senior living resource, Pearl’s Choice.

Ms. Shyra Barberstock, Founder of Okwaho International.

Shyria is an Indigenous academic and entrepreneur with a passion for creating progressive social and economic development outcomes for First Nation communities. Her company, Okwaho International, specializes in connecting Indigenous entrepreneurs to the digital marketplace.

Mr. Etienne Crevier, CEO of BiogeniQ.

Etienne is a Recipient of Futurpreneur’s Spin Master Innovation Fund program and a G20 Young Entrepreneur delegate. His company, BiogeniQ, specializes in the implementation of personalized medical information that can provide actionable solutions. The information is available to the general public prior to a consultation with a healthcare professional and is integrated in a useful ecosystem.

Engage in an interactive brainstorming session with all attendees (participating physically or virtually) to discuss how technology could be used to grow your business. Please RSVP via Events.com, selecting the “Register” button and choose the “In-person/En personne” ticket if you can attend this event in Ottawa at the Service Lab. Otherwise, please select the “Virtual/Virtuel” ticket if you are planning to participate virtually.

We hope that you can join us to help shape technology for business growth!
