Global Entrepreneurship Research Conclave 2025
The Global Entrepreneurship Research Conclave (GERC) 2025 is a premier academic and industry-focused forum organized by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) of Villa College as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Maldives 2025. The Conclave brings together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, and ecosystem leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue, present innovative research, and advance evidence-based understanding of entrepreneurship in the Maldives and the broader region.
Held under the GEW global theme “Together We Build,” GERC 2025 serves as a unique platform to bridge scholarly insights with real-world entrepreneurial needs, fostering interdisciplinary learning, policy conversations, and collaborative solutions. The event features technical paper presentations, panel discussions, expert feedback, and interactive sessions designed to strengthen the entrepreneurship knowledge ecosystem.
The Conclave focuses on four key thematic tracks:
- Entrepreneurial Education
Innovations in teaching, learning models, curriculum design, experiential entrepreneurship education, and digital learning approaches. - Entrepreneurship Policy Development
Policy frameworks, SME development, access to finance, regulatory barriers, and collaboration between government, industry, and academia. - Social Inclusion & Sustainable Entrepreneurship
Inclusive business models, gender and youth empowerment, disability inclusion, social innovation, and green entrepreneurship. - Entrepreneurship Ecosystem
Incubators, accelerators, digital platforms, financing models, startup networks, and collaborative ecosystem-building efforts.
