Meet the Press- Global Entrepreneurship Week- 2018 at DIU

During one week each November, thousands of events and competitions in 170 countries inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. Powered by the Kauffman Foundation, the initiative is supported by dozens of world leaders and a network of more than 15,000 partner organizations. GEW is held November 12-18, 2018.

Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DIE), Daffodil International University is going to organize various events to celebrate GEWDIU in a grand way this year in association with Chakri Khujbo na Chakri Dibo, Career Development Center (CDC), Bangladesh Venture Capital and many other Partners during the week.

This year, DIU’s celebration of GEW expects to be bigger than ever. GEWDIU is hosting more than 50+ events including the sessions on Blockchain, Funding, Digital Marketing, Knowledge Sharing, Networking and so on. The promising entrepreneurs of our country will be present at the session as speakers. Through the events, GEWDIU is inviting many diverse audiences from all over the country to build up an entrepreneurial ecosystem. To achieve this goal, DIU is also hosting “Startup Expo-2018” and Business Plan Competition which encourage the youth to participate and showcase their products with innovation. Moreover, a Women Entrepreneurs Day will be arranged to match with the theme of GEWwomen. Besides that, we are including the four of the themes of GEW this year- GEWinclusion, GEWyouth, GEWecosystemconnect, GEWwomen- into our various events.

Startup Grind DIU-which is the largest independent startup community of 1,500,000 entrepreneurs in 450 cities, and Startup Huddle Dhaka-is a free, monthly program designed to educate, engage and connect entrepreneurs, have also associated with GEWDIU and organizing couple of events during the celebration.

Overall, it can be said that the celebration of GEW at DIU will break all the records of previous years. This platform will not only support the emerging entrepreneurs to connect but also will help them to grow their business.
