Melbourne Angels

Each month Melbourne Angels members come together to consider the internally curated deal flow of early-stage start-ups raising seed capital.

Founders make brief presentations followed by Q&A with the whole room. Founders then leave the room and the members discuss the presentation with two goals in mind: first, to provide constructive feedback that will be conveyed to the founder to ensure there is real value for the founder in the experience; and second, to determine if there is enough investment interest amongst the members to ask the founder to give more time to the process.

When we are in the Q&A and discussion sessions, please know your participation and contribution will be valued. A key benefit of working together in a group is the diversity of opinion in the room which helps us make better evaluations and better investment decisions.

If you attend in person there is networking with drinks and nibbles during which we get the chance for further informal conversations with the founders and other members. Afterwards, there is an informal, pay-your-own-way dinner when the conversation continues, often canvassing a wide array of challenging topics among interesting people.

You are invited to be our guest at this Melbourne Angels pitch event to get a better insight into who we are and how we do what we do. Attendance in-person requires full COVID vaccination.

We ask that you complete this registration form for the meeting which includes a link to our Code of Conduct, by which you are asked to abide at our meeting. We seek to ensure the confidentiality that the founders deserve to be able to share their sensitive information with us, this is not a public event. Once you’ve registered, if you are attending virtually, you will receive an email with a meeting link customised for you. For in person attendance, directions will be sent by email.

If attending Virtually, please ensure you have tested your setup for connection to the virtual meeting in advance. (Microsoft Teams)

If attending In-Person, please arrive from 3:45pm to sign in, collect a name tag from the welcome table and have a chance to meet a few of the members.
