Types and Sources of Financing Businesses

This session introduces participants to the various types and sources of financing available to new and growing businesses. The lecture will explore a range of funding pathways, from self-financing and bootstrapping to external options such as business angels, venture capital, crowdfunding platforms, grants, credits, and bank loans. Participants will gain an understanding of how each financing source works, its advantages and challenges, and how entrepreneurs can assess which option best supports their business goals and stage of development.

The lecture will be delivered by Dr Ewa Kraska, who is visiting The University of Malta on an Erasmus+ mobility assignment from Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, Poland.
