Launch of Global Entrepreneurship Week in the South-West Region

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025: Spotlight on the South-West Region

The South-West Region of Cameroon is preparing to host Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025, a major initiative designed to promote innovation, creativity, and business development. This week-long event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and stakeholders to share ideas, explore opportunities, and strengthen the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.

With its rich cultural heritage, vibrant markets, and diverse economic activities, the South-West Region offers significant entrepreneurial potential across sectors such as agriculture, trade, tourism, and creative industries. GEW 2025 aims to harness these opportunities, providing platforms for entrepreneurs to showcase their projects, access mentorship, and connect with partners.

The program includes practical workshops, training sessions, and mentorship initiatives covering business management, marketing strategies, innovation, and financial planning. These activities are designed to equip both emerging and established entrepreneurs with the skills needed to grow their businesses sustainably and compete effectively.

Youth and women, key drivers of innovation and social development, are central to the celebrations. Schools, universities, and community organizations will host entrepreneurial clubs and mentoring sessions, while specific activities will highlight women-led enterprises, promoting inclusivity and empowerment in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Conferences, panel discussions, and exhibitions will offer opportunities to share success stories, inspire innovation, and foster collaboration between entrepreneurs, government actors, and industry experts. GEW 2025 in the South-West Region is not just a series of events—it is a movement to empower local talent, stimulate creativity, and strengthen the economy.

Through this initiative, the South-West Region demonstrates that entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for growth, resilience, and sustainable prosperity in Cameroon.
