Nkongsamba Set to Launch the 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Week with a Strong Commitment to Innovation

Nkongsamba, the dynamic economic heart of the Moungo Division, is gearing up to host the official launch of the 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Week (SMEC) — an annual celebration dedicated to promoting innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial culture across Cameroon.

This year’s opening ceremony will take place at the Centre de Formation de Métiers de Nkongsamba, bringing together learners, business promoters, institutions, and ecosystem actors for a moment of inspiration and knowledge sharing. The event aims to energize local entrepreneurship while highlighting the numerous opportunities available to youth and project holders in the region.

The ceremony will be animated by Mr. Oum Bisse Donatien, Head of the FNE Departmental Unit for the Moungo, alongside senior officials from the Departmental Delegation of the Ministry of SMEs, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA). Participants will benefit from enriching exchanges on the economic potential of the Moungo, the challenges of entrepreneurship, and the support mechanisms provided by public programs and local partners.

The launch will also shine a spotlight on the importance of grassroots innovation, craftsmanship, agribusiness, and value-chain transformation—sectors that hold tremendous promise for the region’s economic future.

A Week of Discovery and Engagement

As part of the SMEC 2025 program, Thursday, November 20, will feature insightful field visits to two flagship structures contributing to the entrepreneurial dynamism of the Moungo:

  • AGRO PME Fondation, a leader in agricultural transformation and youth empowerment

  • The Representative Group of the Geographical Indication Incubator for Penja White Pepper, an internationally recognized hub for innovation and local value creation

These visits will allow young entrepreneurs, students, and stakeholders to explore successful business models, draw inspiration from local champions, and forge new connections.

Through this week-long initiative, Nkongsamba reaffirms its commitment to nurturing talent, accelerating innovation, and encouraging a new generation of bold Cameroonian entrepreneurs.

The Moungo Division is ready — and the entrepreneurial movement is gaining momentum. Join the SMEC 2025 journey in Nkongsamba!
