Portugal - Cape Verde: a Partnership for the Environment
AICEP holds the Portugal-Cape Verde Seminar: A Partnership for the Environment, on 28 November in Praia, Cape Verde.
The opening session of the event counts on the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment of Cape Verde, Dr. Gilberto Silva, and the Ambassador of Portugal in the City of Praia, Dr. Helena Paiva.
The main objective of the seminar is to present to the heads of several Cape Verdean entities - the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment, Municipalities, private sector and civil society - the Portuguese case and our offer in the Environment sector in the areas of waste management, water treatment and sanitation, recycling, among others, and, in this way, propose concrete solutions that can be implemented in Cape Verde.
This session also aims to increase the volume and value of exports of Portuguese environmental products and services and to promote the image of Portugal as a country of excellence and reference in the area of environmental management and sustainable development.
In this sense, we invite Portuguese companies from the Environment sector, with experience of projects, to intervene as speakers, presenting their products and services. It is intended that the event be business oriented and very practical, with an institutional component of framework and reference.
At the end of the session a round of B2B meetings is planned between the participating Portuguese companies and the interested Cape Verdean entities.
If interest is shown, a visit to on-site projects may be organized for Portuguese companies / entities participating in the seminar.
The program of the seminar also includes interventions by the National Director of the Environment of Cape Verde and the President of ANAS-National Agency of Water and Sanitation of Cape Verde, as well as representatives of the APA-Portuguese Environment Agency, IP, ERSAR-Regulatory Entity of the Water and Waste Services of Portugal (to be confirmed) and AEPSA-Association of Portuguese Companies for the Environment Sector.
