Raising Capital Workshop

Tom and Lachlan from LegalVision are coming into Fishburnes to run a session about raising capital for startups!

LegalVision itself is a startup and has gone through the capital raising process recently too, raising over $2 million in venture capital, using four different structures - revenue loans, convertible notes, equity and debt finance, which they will be lending some insight on.

Introduction - Start-up Culture and Law (Tom Kaldor, Lawyer and Partnerships Manager) Introduction on the importance of getting the law right as a startup, so you can make the most of your big idea when it comes along.

Main Presentation - How to Raise $1 million (Lachlan McKnight, CEO) Lachlan will talk about his experience raising money for LegalVision and offer his "10 Commandments of Capital Raising".

Q&A and Workshop - Capital Raising. The session will be opened up for questions and an investment workshop where members can ask about their capital raising plans.

About the Speakers

Lachlan is the CEO and Co-Founder of LegalVision. His experience in working as a banking and finance lawyer in Europe and Asia convinced him that quality legal services should be accessible to startups and SMEs, not just large corporates. Lachlan has been involved with, and invested in many startups.

Tom is a Lawyer and the Partnerships Manager at LegalVision. He previously worked at top-tier commercial firm, Allens, and the High Court of Australia.
