RDA Tropical North - Connection, Innovation and Funding in FNQ

Join RDATN, ONA, AusIndustry, NAIF and NBN to learn more about the Federal Government programs, grants and funding available to business and industry in FNQ.

Linda Lee, General Manager from the Office of Northern Australia will provide an update on how the Australian Government is supporting economic and social development in Northern Australia.

John Chandler, Regional Manager (North Queensland) of AusIndustry will provide critical information on how to position your business to be eligible for government support, provide an update on programs such as the R&D Tax Incentive and the importance of capturing I.P. within your business.

Craig Doyle, Chief Executive Officer will present from NAIF - Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility. NAIF is investing in infrastructure in a range of sectors that are vital economic drivers of northern Australia. In providing finance, NAIF has a strong focus on driving economic growth, public benefit, and positive indigenous and local community outcomes. Craig will provide a brief on the current mandate that provides greater lending flexibility and opportunity.

Ross Contarino, Community Engagement Manager with NBN. NBN's purpose is to help lift the digital capability of Australia by connecting homes and businesses across Australia, and providing access to the positive social and economic benefits enabled by access to a secure digital backbone. Ross will provide an update on the current network upgrades, resources available and the Innovate with nbn Grant Program.

Sonja Johnson, Chief Executive Officer - RDA Tropical North will provide an insight into RDATN's current activities, priorities and focus for the region across the quadruple bottom-line - economic, environmental, social and cultural. She will also provide an update on the recent Federal Government grant review, in particular the BBRF and potential future opportunities.
