Briefing session for the Startup Ecosystem regarding the Global Entrepreneurship Week

The ICTA invites ecosystem enablers to join them in hosting the GEW event collaboratively. Therefore, the ICTA held an introductory session on September 28th, 2022, to brief ecosystem builders in Sri Lanka about the GEW event, the benefits that enablers can gain from it, and the impact they can have on the startup ecosystem.

Over 20 well-known ecosystem builders from Sri Lanka attended the session to support this fantastic initiative that will help the startup ecosystem take a new direction. The first introductory session was quite interesting and informative, as most of the renowned ecosystem builders exchanged great ideas in one location. The session discussed topics such as social entrepreneurship and how to bring entrepreneurship to the school level.

Some of the eco-system builders who joined the session are Hatch, JKX, IEEE, Founder Institute, CurveUp, UNDP, Dialog IdeaMart, Lankan Angel Network, CSSL, Regional startup hubs (Sabaragamuwa), nVentures, FITIS, Generation Alpha, UVA Startup Hub, and SLT Mobitel. The ICTA intend to hold more briefing sessions this month for those who are interested in collaborating with them to host the event series successfully and help strengthen the startup ecosystem in Sri Lanka. The following briefing session will be held on October 4, 2022.

Passionate eco-system enablers can register or contact the ICTA at startups@icta.lk to lend a hand in this global event.
