Awareness Programme on Plastic Use and Its Environmental Impact
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations, an awareness programme on plastic and its environmental impact was conducted on 20.11.2025 at the Middeniya East Community Hall, Middeniya. The session was attended by 20 members of the village development societies. Resource contribution was provided by H.R.M.W. Senarath, Vidatha Development Officer – Katuwana. The programme aimed to educate the community on reducing the use of polythene and plastic within the region and to encourage environmentally responsible practices.
