Brainstorming New App Idea

Think big Create smart Build the next app idea!

The Brainstorming New App Ideas session held on 06 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, encouraged students to think creatively and develop practical mobile application concepts. Organized by ICST University, the session aimed to enhance innovation, problem solving and teamwork by guiding students to identify real-world challenges that could be solved through technology. Participants were introduced to ideation techniques such as user focused thinking market research and design brainstorming to help them generate original and purposeful app ideas.

Facilitators began by explaining how innovation starts with observing everyday problems in areas like learning, communication, transport, or home life. Students learned that even simple ideas can evolve into impactful solutions when supported by creativity and collaboration. Through interactive discussions, they explored usability, functionality, user experience (UX), and modern technologies such as AI, IoT and data analytics.

Students then worked in groups to share, refine, and present their app concepts. They were encouraged to think outside the box, justify their ideas, and evaluate feasibility and user needs. This hands-on approach helped them develop essential entrepreneurial skills such as communication, teamwork, and critical thinking.

By the end of the session, participants gained confidence in presenting their ideas and demonstrated improved ability to identify real-world problems and convert them into meaningful app solutions. The session strengthened their interest in technology and inspired them to explore future opportunities in digital innovation.
