Bridging Local Production with Global Demand

The Export Service Programme, jointly organized by the Pitabeddara and Kotapola Divisional Secretariat divisions, was held on November 20, 2025 with the objective of supporting and guiding local entrepreneurs interested in entering the export sector. The programme provided valuable information on export procedures, required documentation, packaging and quality standards, certification, logistics, and financial support facilities available for exporters. Participants were also introduced to methods of identifying international market opportunities and improving product readiness for global competition. This initiative aims to encourage regional economic growth by enabling small and medium-scale producers to access export services more easily and expand their businesses into international markets.
