The Cyber Security Awareness session held on 06 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025 equipped students with essential knowledge about staying safe in the digital world. Organized by ICST University the session aimed to educate students on recognizing online threats protecting personal data and making responsible decisions while using technology. Students learned about common cyberattacks such as phishing malware, ransomware and data breaches along with practical ways to prevent them through strong passwords secure networks and careful online behaviour. 

Facilitators used real-life examples of cyber scams, unsafe browsing habits, and social engineering techniques to help students understand the consequences of sharing sensitive information or trusting unreliable websites. Students were encouraged to reflect on their own digital behaviour and identify areas where they could improve their safety practices. The session highlighted the importance of digital ethics, privacy, and responsible communication online. 

Throughout the discussion, students gained confidence in recognizing threats and understanding the importance of using cybersecurity tools effectively. They also learned when and how to report suspicious activities, creating a foundation for responsible digital citizenship and safer online engagement. 

Overall, the session successfully empowered students with the awareness and skills needed to navigate the digital world securely. It aligned with the GEW 2025 mission by promoting safety, responsibility, and digital literacy among young learners.
