Decision Making Challenge

Better decisions begin with better thinking.

The Decision-Making Challenge session, held on 06 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, provided students with an engaging and practical experience designed to strengthen their analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Organized by ICST University, the session focused on helping participants understand the importance of making logical, informed, and timely decisions in both academic and real-life situations.

The session began with facilitators introducing students to different types of decision-making scenarios through visual puzzles and thought-provoking questions. This interactive approach helped students recognize how decisions can be influenced by emotions, assumptions, and limited information. The outdoor learning environment created a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged confident participation.

Students then engaged in hands-on “brain test” tasks designed to test their reasoning skills. They analyzed patterns, evaluated multiple possibilities, justified their choices, and experienced the value of comparing outcomes before selecting the best solution. These activities allowed them to apply critical thinking in real time while developing patience, observation, and logical analysis skills.

The session also emphasized leadership, emotional intelligence, clear communication, and teamwork. Students learned how to stay calm under pressure, manage differing opinions, collaborate effectively, and take responsibility for their choices. These experiences helped them understand how strong decision-making supports academic success, personal growth, and future career development.

Overall, the session empowered students to become thoughtful, strategic, and confident decision-makers capable of approaching challenges with clarity and purpose.
