Developing a Growth Mindset

See opportunities everywhere think like an entrepreneur!

The Entrepreneurial Thinking session, held on 18 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, was designed to help students develop a mindset that embraces creativity, innovation, initiative, and opportunity recognition. The session emphasized that entrepreneurial thinking is not limited to starting a business rather, it is a way of approaching challenges with curiosity, resilience, and the confidence to transform ideas into meaningful action.

Students were taught that entrepreneurial thinkers excel by asking the right questions, exploring possibilities, and identifying unmet needs in their surroundings. The facilitator reminded them that “entrepreneurial thinking begins with curiosity,” encouraging them to observe the world openly and think differently. They also learned that “ideas are only powerful when acted upon,” highlighting the importance of taking bold steps toward implementation instead of limiting ideas to imagination.

The session strengthened students’ understanding of adaptability and mindset. They were reminded that “change is the only constant, and entrepreneurs thrive in it,” helping them understand that flexibility and openness to new solutions are vital in today’s fast-changing world. The facilitator explained that a positive attitude expands opportunities, reinforcing the idea that mindset plays a crucial role in shaping personal and professional growth.

Through interactive exercises, students practiced identifying opportunities in everyday situations and explored how simple ideas can be shaped into impactful solutions. They were guided through the entrepreneurial flow:
Curiosity → Idea → Exploration → Vision → Action → Reflection → Growth,
which illustrated how entrepreneurial thinking evolves from questioning to creating, and ultimately learning and improving from experience.

By the end of the session, students expressed increased confidence in applying entrepreneurial thinking in school, personal life, and future careers. They understood that entrepreneurial thinking is a powerful tool for navigating uncertainty, solving problems creatively, and building opportunities that drive meaningful change. The session successfully empowered students to think beyond limitations and embrace challenges as pathways to innovation.
