Empathy & Emotional Intelligence

The “Empathy, Emotional Intelligence & Online Behaviour” session, held on 02nd November 2025, was conducted by the undergraduates of ICST University to help youth strengthen their emotional awareness, communication skills, and responsible digital behavior. The session focused on helping participants understand emotions, practice empathy, and build healthier relationships both online and offline.

Through engaging visuals, discussions, and interactive activities, participants learned how empathy and emotional intelligence improve communication. They practiced active listening, expressing kindness, resolving conflicts peacefully, and showing respect in conversations. The session also highlighted the importance of ethical online behavior  avoiding fake news, seeking permission before sharing content, preventing cyberbullying, and maintaining respectful interactions across digital platforms.

Students were encouraged to reflect on their emotional responses and understand how their behavior impacts others. Activities and real-life examples helped them connect emotional intelligence concepts to daily life, fostering self-awareness and responsible decision-making.

By the end of the session, participants demonstrated improved confidence, better communication habits, and a stronger sense of digital responsibility. They became more mindful, compassionate and respectful  qualities essential for thriving as responsible citizens in both physical and digital communities.
