How Women Can Lead in Any Field

The How Women Can Lead in Any Field session, held on 22 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, focused on empowering women with the knowledge, confidence, and mindset needed to embrace leadership roles in any environment home, workplace, community, or industry. Conducted by Niluja (ICTA Resource Person) at RDS Road Michnagar, Eravur and organized by ICST University Park, the session highlighted that leadership is not defined by position, but by purpose, action, and inner strength. 

The workshop began by exploring the essential qualities of strong leaders, including communication, confidence, critical thinking, resilience, and decision-making. Participants learned that leadership starts with self-belief and the courage to take responsibility. They were encouraged to see themselves not just as caregivers or contributors, but as capable leaders who can inspire and guide others. 

A core focus of the session was addressing the challenges women commonly face in leadership such as societal expectations, self-doubt, limited opportunities, and restrictive norms. Through practical strategies, participants learned how to break limiting beliefs, seek mentorship, build supportive networks, and take small but meaningful steps toward personal and professional growth. 

Interactive discussions and self-reflection exercises helped women recognize their existing strengths and leadership potential. Real-life stories of women who overcame obstacles and excelled in various fields provided powerful inspiration, reinforcing the message that leadership is achievable for every woman with consistency, courage, and continuous learning. 

Participants also explored how leadership contributes to community development. They understood that small acts such as making informed decisions, supporting others, and taking initiative create positive ripple effects. Many women expressed increased motivation to step into leadership roles in community groups, workplaces, and entrepreneurial ventures. 

By the end of the session, participants felt more confident, empowered, and ready to lead. They recognized that leadership is not about titles, but about influence, purpose, and action. The session successfully encouraged women to embrace leadership as a skill they already possess and can strengthen further to create meaningful impact in any field.
