Make & Sell Your First Product

The Make & Sell Your First Product session, held on 06 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, guided participants especially mothers and parents through the fundamentals of creating and selling their first market-ready product. Organized by ICST University, the session aimed to show how simple skills and home-based creativity can be transformed into meaningful income-generating opportunities.

Participants were introduced to the basic steps of product development, including identifying customer needs, selecting suitable materials, designing a simple product, estimating costs, and presenting the item attractively. The session emphasized creativity, practicality, and resourcefulness, helping learners understand how even small ideas can become sellable products.

The session had a strong impact on mothers and parents, who actively participated with enthusiasm. Facilitators walked them through challenges faced by small home-based entrepreneurs, such as pricing, maintaining quality, finding customers, and managing time. Through guided discussions, participants learned how to refine their product ideas, improve presentation, and take confident first steps toward small-scale entrepreneurship.

A highlight of the session was when participants stood up to share their own product ideas. The space became lively as mothers confidently explained their concepts while others listened and encouraged them. This not only boosted confidence but also created an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where collaboration and creativity thrived.

Overall, the session successfully empowered participants to see themselves as capable entrepreneurs. It strengthened their confidence, practical understanding, and motivation to create and sell meaningful products within their communities perfectly supporting the GEW 2025 mission of encouraging creativity, business awareness, and entrepreneurial action among new learners.
