Market Research in Minutes

Quick insights, powerful decisions!

The Market Research in Minutes session, held on 21 November 2025 as part of GEW 2025, introduced students to fast, practical, and effective methods for understanding customers, competitors, and market trends. Organized by ICST University Park under the guidance of MNM. Zaatheer, the session helped students learn how quick research can guide business decisions and shape stronger entrepreneurial strategies.

The session began with an explanation of what market research is and why it is a crucial step before launching any business idea or product. Students learned that market research does not need to be long or complicated it simply requires the right tools and clear objectives. They explored the differences between qualitative and quantitative research, how to define target audiences, and how to understand customer needs within minutes using digital tools.

Through live demonstrations, students practiced using online surveys, social media analytics, and search tools to gather real-time data. They also learned how to analyze competitor activities, identify market gaps, and evaluate customer preferences using free or easy-to-access online platforms. This exposure helped them understand that quick research leads to smarter decisions, especially for young entrepreneurs.

Students were guided through essential applications of market research, including developing value propositions, testing ideas, validating demand, and shaping marketing strategies. Facilitators emphasized that strong brands succeed because they understand their audience deeply and this understanding comes from data. Students realized that even a few minutes of focused research can help them avoid mistakes, refine ideas, and build solutions people truly want.

The session also encouraged students to see market research as a continuous process. They learned that successful entrepreneurs constantly gather customer feedback, monitor trends, update their strategies, and stay informed about changing market conditions. This mindset prepares them to remain adaptable and competitive in dynamic business environments.

By the end of the session, students felt more confident in conducting fast, meaningful market analysis. Many expressed interest in applying these skills to test their own business ideas and make data-driven decisions. The workshop successfully strengthened their research abilities, strategic thinking, and understanding of how digital tools empower modern entrepreneurship.
