Masala Tea Awareness & Plastic Reduction Program

The Masala Tea Awareness & Plastic Reduction Program in the Ampara District is centered on promoting Healthy life for everyone by educating the community on the health benefits of Masala Tea and linking this to the broader issue of plastic reduction in daily life, especially within food and beverage consumption in Ampara. The program will feature demonstrations on preparing traditional, healthy Masala Tea, highlighting the natural ingredients and their medicinal properties. This will be coupled with an awareness campaign on replacing single-use plastic cups, sachets, and packaging associated with mass-produced beverages with sustainable, reusable alternatives for a healthier, zero-waste lifestyle. The unique combination of health and environmental consciousness is aimed at Final batch of VTA sewing course students, Women Rural Development Society members from the Ampara District, and the general public. It encourages a shift towards both better personal health choices and responsible consumption habits, empowering community members to become advocates for sustainable living.
