The Next Move

The Next Move  Giving Innovative Ideas to Enhance Entrepreneurship session, held on 05 November 2025, was designed to introduce school students to innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in a simple and practical way. The team at ICST University Park in collaboration with ICTA Sri Lanka, planned an engaging and student-friendly structure that encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and idea generation. The session included short activities, group discussions, visual examples, and real-life stories to help students understand how everyday problems can lead to meaningful and innovative solutions. 

Students were guided step-by-step from understanding the concept of innovation to applying it in small, achievable ways. The interactive idea-sharing segment allowed students to openly discuss challenges they observe in their school or community. Facilitators supported them throughout the brainstorming process, helping students build confidence and feel motivated to contribute. 

The session had a strong impact on students. Many who were initially hesitant became enthusiastic participants by the end, presenting creative and practical ideas with confidence. Through teamwork and discussion, students learned how identifying simple local problems can lead to promising entrepreneurial opportunities. The visuals and youth-led innovation stories made the concepts relatable and showed that innovation does not require large capital—only curiosity, creativity, and willingness to act. 

Overall, the session successfully inspired students to think differently, believe in their ideas, and view entrepreneurship as an accessible path for the future. It laid the foundation for developing creative young problem-solvers who can bring positive change to their communities.
