Stop copying , Start innovating

The Stop Copying, Start Innovating session was designed to help students understand the importance of creativity, originality, and independent thinking in entrepreneurship. Organized as part of GEW 2025, the session encouraged participants to move away from relying on imitation or depending too heavily on AI tools, and instead focus on developing their own unique ideas. 

The session used the inspiring story of Bill Gates to show how great entrepreneurs achieve success by thinking differently, taking initiative, and creating new solutions rather than following others. Students were encouraged to reflect on how innovation begins with simple ideas, self-belief, and the courage to do something original. Through interactive discussions and thought-provoking questions, participants explored how creativity can lead to meaningful impact and how technology should supportnot replace their thinking process. 

Students actively participated in activities that strengthened their critical thinking, confidence, and willingness to challenge conventional ideas. Many expressed a clearer understanding of how innovation drives personal and business growth. The session helped shift their mindset from copying to innovating, motivating them to trust their own ideas and consider entrepreneurship as a realistic path. It also encouraged them to use ICT and AI wisely as tools that support creativity, not limit it. 

Overall, the activity successfully built a culture of originality and independent thinking. It inspired students to value innovation, believe in their abilities, and work toward developing unique solutions that can positively impact their communities and future careers.
