Tie-and-Dye Saree Design Work Shop Series- Day 11

The workshop in Kilinochchi continued to build participant capacity in tie-dye saree production by covering fabric preparation, dye formulation, pattern folding, colour blending, and finishing techniques. The programme emphasized hands-on learning to help participants understand fabric behaviour, colour reactions, and quality assurance for market-ready products. Through guided demonstrations and skill practice, attendees learned how to produce contemporary designs with strong commercial appeal. The workshop also promoted low-cost production approaches to enable home-based enterprises and small entrepreneurs to develop competitive products with limited investment. By integrating creative skill development with practical business knowledge, the programme supported income generation, encouraged micro-enterprise growth, and strengthened textile-based livelihoods in Kilinochchi.
