Start-Up World+ 2018

The program is organized by Godwin Mawutor Wuankah, Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur and the current Ghana Hub Lead of the  Tony Elumelu Foundation in partnership with several local and international organizations. Also, Godwin is a Fellow, of the Association of African Entrepreneurs, Student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants,Ghana and the founder of AGE Accounting & Taxation.The sole aim of the program is to encourage entrepreneurship in Ghana & Africa. We must also understand the power of entrepreneurship in transforming our communities and believing in the concept of starting small. The program is first of its kind in Ghana. 
The program will be awarding over $8 Billion micro credit in-cash and other in-kind awesome training programs with networking opportunities. 

Value and Nature of the Prizes; This Competition has the following types of Prizes depending on the different categories: a. Ten (10) informal sector entrepreneurs, selected randomly will be awarded a cash grant of GH₵ 1,000.00 each plus certificates & Start-Up World+ lapel pins. c. Winners of public vote 1. Winner- GH₵ 5,000.00 2. 1st runner-Up - GH₵ 2,500.00 3. 2nd runner-Up- GH₵ 1,500.00 4. SDG & Start-Up World+ lapel pins for each of the public vote winners. 5. Certificates to the next runner-ups, up to 20 winners plus Start-Up World+ lapel pins. 6. All applicants are eligible to apply for a micro credit facility of over US$8 billion in total, (hereinafter, the “Prizes”) to be received by the selected Winners according to the mechanics described in these Terms and Conditions. The prizes of the different categories are not exclusive. Other Prizes a. Trip and participation in the “Final Event”. Each of the ten (10) informal sector entrepreneurs with three (3) public vote winners will receive a Prize comprising a trip for one person to participate in the Final Event, as indicated in these Terms and Conditions. The organization of both travel (travel expenses and hotel) and participation in the event will be determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion will adjust to the market value of transport tickets and hotel rates that correspond to the Terms and Conditions. b. Other partnering Institution Any other organization may decide to award an entrepreneur of their choice if they so wish.
