http://www.avesta.tj/business/36783-v-dushanbe-proshel-zhenskiy-biznes-f...   11/20/2015, 16:49 Dushanbe hosts Women's Business Forum   Avesta.Tj | 20.11.2015 | US Embassy in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce, the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management and the Committee on Women and Family Affairs held today Female business forum and exhibition of products of entrepreneurs at the Ismaili Centre in Dushanbe.   According to the US Embassy in Tajikistan, the forum was the last event of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Tajikistan, consisting of passing for a week and a series of events dedicated to the coverage of the activities of entrepreneurs and start-ups.   Nearly 100 women entrepreneurs from all regions of Tajikistan, the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the international community as well as local and foreign investors attended the event.   After thematic presentations officials culminating event of the day was a fashion show in which were shown the work of local designers and fashion with traditional Tajik jewelry materials from satin and adras.   In conclusion, women's business forum was an exhibition aimed at supporting the textile, handicraft, agricultural and technological products produced by women entrepreneurs mainly from rural areas in all regions of Tajikistan.   The event was supported by the US Embassy, ​​OSCE, UN-Women, the Open Society Institute, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), Save the Children, Oxfam, USAID, and NASMB NABWT.
