Global Entrepreneurship Week wrapped up a few months ago but host organizations around the world are busy reflecting on their campaigns in the lead up to the annual meeting of hosts during the Global Entrepreneurship Congress.
Endeavor Turkey, the official host organization behind GEW turkey, shared their campaign’s highlights with us, from branded video campaign to a partnership to aid entrepreneurs in the creative field to a launch event at the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Last fall, GEW Turkey asked entrepreneurs: “are you in?” Check out the video that the team and Vodafone put together to encourage entrepreneurs, students and the business community to join the global movement.
In 2014, GEW Turkey focused on creating local partnerships in different cities. As a result, GEW’s reach expanded to more than 40 cities around Turkey!
The GEW Turkey team developed a partnership with the Istanbul Development Agency, and helped the agency team design a grant proposal to assist entrepreneurs in creative industries.
The 2014 kick-off gong ceremony took place with the launch of the new Private Market Platform of The Istanbul Stock Exchange that facilitates direct investment opportunities between vetted startups, scale-ups and a pool of qualified angel investors.
Porter Erisman, director of the documentary “Crocodile in the Yangtze” and former vice president of Alibaba, participated in the screenings that took place across seven universities and two private events in both Istanbul and Ankara that reached more than 500 students.
