Women Entrepreneurs: The Spearheading Force for the Global Economy

The plenary session of day 2 titled Women Entrepreneurs: the spearheading force for the global economy aims to stimulate awareness among the students by bringing together experts and protagonists of change to have a pragmatic and perspicacious discourse on the entrepreneurship challenges and opportunities women face in Pakistan and abroad. The session accentuates the discussion on entrepreneurial ecosystem and factors affecting women entrepreneurs’ success locally and globally. The platform will open a dialogue for making this habitat a better place for women to emerge as the key contributors to global economic development. In adherence to the sustainable development goals (SDGs), the dialogue on planet 50-50 shall unfold the emerging trends on Women Entrepreneurship across the globe.  This discussion will present information on an area that has hitherto not received much attention in Pakistan and also highlights the constraints facing women entrepreneurs in business, analyses their operating environment, describes the predominant gender inequalities, and most interestingly provides the narrative stories of the successful panelists selected from various economic backgrounds and family situations.

The panelists are expected to elevate the occasion and would be momentous in providing the necessary guidance to the youth in taking that one step in the right direction. Their insightful thoughts shall help MiTE’s students in breaking records by putting their creative minds at work in an exciting business environ. The event also promotes a dialogue on women empowerment for community-led professional development. The platform of Global Entrepreneurship Week envisages a juncture in which these increasing connections lead to positive outcomes. The talk shall connect many like-minded students to explore new avenue of learning and expands the professional horizon for themselves.
