Workshop: How to Approach an Investor?

In this workshop, Erik Brits, Mentor at StartUp Portimão, spoke about how we can and should approach an investor, also considering the different types of investors.

And what is the first step? Knowing the profile of a given investor before approaching them can be a decisive factor for the success of the approach, as it will allow us to adapt our speech to the investor's expectations and consolidate a more fluid interaction.

And as preparing well does not only mean knowing exactly what to say, Erik Brits also taught us about the essential elements to be taken into account for any investor: financial and business plan, client's data, and the team's details.

So, what is the best way to approach an investor? Bu the end of the workshop, Erik exposed different scenarios and shared a few tips for each of them: approach the investor yourself, find an investor through previous investments or use a direct approach through your network of contacts.
