Youth Business Mixer - "Strengthening The Entrepreneurial Spirit of St. Lucian Youth"

The St. Lucia Youth Business Trust (SLYBT) offers a coordinated, comprehensive program to assist young persons to develop the skills, attitudes and access resources they need to be successful. In 2019 the Youth Business International (YBI) went into an agreement with the Caribbean Development Bank to provide funding to enhance the behaviors and actions of young entrepreneurs in the islands of Barbados, Jamaica, Dominica, Trinidad and St Lucia. The project entitled  “Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Caribbean Youth” targets youth ages 18 – 35 years, operating informal, micro and small businesses to receive training in the areas of Business Idea Generation, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Resource Management, Brand Development, Finance Management and Strategic Management by trained facilitators for a period of 3 weeks. The In house training was completed in September with 17 young entrepreneurs who will now showcase their product and or service at the Business Mixer as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
