With the rapid adoption of technology in business and society there is a growing concern to safeguard the public interest. Researchers, policymakers and industry sharing this view convened to collectively identify key areas of focus in order to foster Digital Innovation - in a practical and empirically informed manner. From these discussions three themes emerged:

  1. Building public trust

  2. Accountability and Operationalisation

  3. Experimentation

The principal aim of the Responsible Innovation Lab is to facilitate experimentation that has accountability and operationalisation of research and ideas at its core. It is in this way that we will foster public trust, community building and communication. The Lab’s mission is also to provide thought-leadership in responsible digital innovation through experimentation.
