The program runs for approximately 12 weeks during the summer months, typically starting in late May or early June and concluding in early October. It's structured to allow students to participate without interfering with their regular academic commitments.

At the beginning of the program, students with entrepreneurial ideas apply and are selected based on the potential of their concepts. Once chosen, participants receive a comprehensive package of support:

  • Financial Backing: Each team receives up to €10,000 in seed funding to develop their ideas. This funding is allocated based on the progress made throughout the program.
  • Workspace: Students are provided with office space at the DCU Innovation campus, giving them a professional environment to work on their projects.
  • Intensive Training: The program kicks off with three multi-day sessions spread over the first month. These sessions are designed to help students refine their ideas and learn essential business skills.
  • Mentorship: Throughout the program, students have access to mentors and sector specialists from the DCU Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurs. These experts provide guidance, feedback, and industry insights.
  • Product Development: After the initial training sessions, students focus on developing a minimal viable product (MVP) and validating it with potential customers.
  • Ongoing Support: The program offers continuous support, allowing students to refine their ideas with mentor guidance throughout the summer.
  • Demo Day: The accelerator concludes with a demo day where participants showcase their work and progress to an audience that may include potential investors and industry partners.
