This year, Entrepreneurship World Cup was held for the third time to reward and encourage enterprises in strategic partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Global Education and Leadership Foundation and Misk Global Forum. By bringing enterprises in Bangladesh together with good examples from 178 countries of the Global Entrepreneurship Network; GEN Bangladesh is aiming to act as a bridge between the Bangladeshi ecosystem and the global entrepreneurship ecosystem and it is responsible for the local organization of the competition in Bangladesh.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is a program that helps entrepreneurs of all levels, from idea to scale-up stage, reach the next level in their journey. EWC gives entrepreneurs access to a global program which they can meet with investors and benefit from opportunities such as online training, mentoring and prize money.

A total of 600+ enterprises applied to EWC Bangladesh and 10 enterprises qualified for the EWC Bangladesh National Final. EWC Bangladesh Final will be broadcast live on EWC Global Youtube channel on 17 September 2021. In the national final, Wahid Sadat Chowdhury (Chief Information Officer, Energypac Power Generation Limited), Md. Mazharul Islam (Chief Financial Officer (CFO), eGeneration PLC) and Mohammad Abdul Haque Anu (Finance Secretary, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh) will took part as the jury, while Md. Asif Iqbal, Country Director of Entrepreneurship World Cup will highlight the whole process and key impacts created by EWC in Bangladesh.

This year, top ten national finalists will picth in front of the judges. They are:

  5. Interactive Cares
  6. Shopkpr Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
  7. ANTT Robotics Ltd.
  8. Onethread
  9. Krishian Ltd.
  10. Khelbei Bangladesh 

National finalists have the opportunity to compete for a total of $1 million in cash prizes globally.

If the National Finalists qualify to represent Bangladesh in the global by entering the EWC 100, they will have the opportunity to benefit from 1 million Dollars in cash and other millions of dollars in kind service and support package. The EWC Champion is rewarded with $500,000, the second $250,000 and the third $100,000. The Stage Awards offer $50,000 to winners in the Idea Stage, Early Stage, and Growth Stage categories. The Special Award is given in the Social Enterprise category. A total of $75 million in-kind service awards is given to the top 100 finalists globally. Every enterprise that becomes a global finalist in the EWC receives a $100,000 service award for its application.
