Dhaka, January 30, 2024 — Global Entrepreneurship Network Bangladesh (GEN Bangladesh) and Smart Bangladesh Accelerator have collaborated on a significant initiative to develop and empower the country's growing startup ecosystem. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to formalize this strategic relationship.
Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, representing GEN Bangladesh, and Md Arifur Rahman, National Program Coordinator for Smart Bangladesh Accelerator, signed the MoU, confirming their commitment to promoting entrepreneurship in Bangladesh.
This significant collaboration involves GEN Bangladesh hosting coaching and mentoring sessions at their modern campus in Dhaka. The focus will be on six cohorts of startups and female-led digital enterprises. This effort is going to engage approximately 200 businesses, giving important insights and support to help them expand.
Renowned coaches and mentors from across the country will actively participate in these sessions, offering their knowledge and experiences. Furthermore, interactive activities will be held to improve networking chances for entrepreneurs, so improving their business prospects.
GEN Bangladesh and Smart Bangladesh Accelerator are excited with the collaboration's potential to empower and elevate Bangladesh's entrepreneurial environment. This attempt is consistent with their shared mission of encouraging innovation, generating economic growth, and providing opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs.
