A successful event titled "Entrepreneurship: A Career Choice" has been organized on 18th November 2017 by Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs(YSSE) regarding the "Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2017" in SEL Centre, Panthapath, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
YSSE, an youth led non-government organization with a view to eradicating extreme poverty and solve youth unemployment problem by empowering youth and women through social entrepreneurship, arranged this event as their continual effort to raise awareness among youth about entrepreneurship. Engineer Md.Abdul Awal, the managing director of the Structural Engineers Ltd(SEL) was the Chief guest and Guest of Honor Sohael Chowdhury, Country Director of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh, Ibnul Syed Rana, Chairman and CEO of Nirapod Development Foundation was the special guest of the event. Entrepreneurial journalist and CEO of Ra'dia Inc Syed Rabius Shams, Editor of Roar Bangla Abdullah Al Mahmud and Founder and President of Bangladesh Science Society and Country ambassador of YSI Sumon Saha were the special guests of the event.
Engineer Abdul Awal, the Chief guest of the event shared his life experiences with the attendees. He emphasized about finding one’s own aim and choice what they want to select: lifestyle that's something special or as flows. Guest of Honor Mr Sohael Chowdhury mentioned, there is no alternative of entrepreneurship to eradicate poverty, to eradicate poverty need to empower youth by creating one entrepreneurial eco-system. Ibnul Syed Rana emphasized on creating job opportunity, not running after job in his speech. The other guest speakers also gave their speeches on different aspects of entrepreneurship like- how PR works for entrepreneurship, Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE), how is the career path of an entrepreneur etc. The founder and President of YSSE,Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf Hossain also gave a short speech regarding the event and entrepreneurship.
A interactive panel discussion session was also included at the last part of the event where attended participants and guests were interacting, asking questions, sharing personal views and so on.
