Chittagong Independent University (CIU) took a significant step in nurturing entrepreneurial talent by hosting a special workshop titled "Idea to Innovation: Entrepreneurship Spark." The event was held on November 15th, 2023, at the seminar hall on CIU's campus in Chittagong, Bangladesh. This dynamic workshop was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023 celebrations.
The workshop was skillfully chaired by Dr. Rubell Sen Goopta, the Dean of the School of Science and Engineering at CIU. Dr. Goopta brought his expertise to the fore as he guided students through the fascinating journey from idea conception to innovation realization.
NextGen Bangladesh Founder Somen Kanungo graced the occasion as a special guest, adding significant value to the workshop. Distinguished faculty members, along with Directors from various departments, were also present, demonstrating CIU's commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among its students.
The workshop was conducted by none other than Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, the National Host of GEW Bangladesh. Mr. Ripon shared valuable insights and hands-on skills in entrepreneurial mindset development. He drew from his extensive experience in entrepreneurship to empower the students with the tools and knowledge needed to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys.
The highlight of the workshop was the enthusiastic participation of the students. As the session concluded, all participants united in chanting the GEW2023 slogan, "Entrepreneurs Thrive Here," epitomizing their newfound determination and passion for entrepreneurship.
