Hasnat Hannan Tamim, the proud alumnus of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, has become a symbol of how dreams backed by dedication can lead to incredible success. What started with a modest $10 freelance project is now a flourishing venture generating over 3 lakh BDT per month!
Tamim joined Startup Huddle Dhaka’s latest session, co-hosted by GEN Bangladesh and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Daffodil Polytechnic, titled “Freelancer to Founder”. Held on April 10, 2025, the event witnessed a vibrant crowd of 300+ aspiring entrepreneurs eager to learn from Tamim’s rollercoaster journey.
Before launching his successful startup PenXTool, Tamim faced two failed attempts at building a business. But those failures didn’t stop him—they became the stepping stones to his eventual success. In his talk, Tamim candidly shared the ups and downs of his journey, tips for building a personal brand, and strategies to transform freelance skills into scalable startup models.
"Your passion and persistence will always find a way. Failures are nothing but disguised lessons," Tamim said as he answered questions from eager students.
