10 November 2025, Dhaka – A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh and the National University (NU) on Monday, 10th November 2025, at the National University’s City Office in Dhaka.
The MoU outlines a strategic collaboration focused on building two transformative pathways for NU students and graduates:
- Job Holders – Equipping learners with employability, communication, and intrapreneurial skills
- Job Creators – Supporting aspiring entrepreneurs with training, incubation, and access to investment and global networks
The collaboration also places strong emphasis on AI literacy and capacity building, aligning with national priorities to prepare youth for the future of work.
The agreement was signed by Dr. K M Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, and Mr. Mollah Mahfuz Al-Hossain, Registrar of National University, on behalf of their respective institutions.
Remarks from Leaders
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of GEN Bangladesh and Daffodil International University, praised the initiative by stating:
“This collaboration brings together the largest university network in Bangladesh and one of the most globally connected entrepreneurship platforms. Together, we can inspire thousands of young minds to not only seek jobs but also create them through innovation, technology, and global thinking.”
Dr. K M Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, emphasized the shared vision:
“We are honored to partner with National University under the visionary leadership of Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah. Our joint programs will focus on employability, digital and financial literacy, AI readiness, and youth-led startup development particularly during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025.”
Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah, Vice Chancellor of National University, welcomed the partnership:
“At National University, our goal is to make every graduate employable and globally competent. This partnership with GEN Bangladesh is timely and strategic, and will help our students connect with the national and global entrepreneurship ecosystem.”
GEW 2025 Joint Celebration
As part of this collaboration, both institutions will work closely to host a series of impactful events during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025, to be held from 17 to 23 November 2025 under the theme “Together We Build.” Activities will include:
- Awareness seminars
- Innovation competitions
- Youth startup showcases
- Capacity-building workshops
- Divisional roundtables
These programs will engage students across NU’s 2,257 affiliated colleges, helping them explore self-employment and innovation-driven careers.
