On November 18, 2024, Daffodil Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET) organized an insightful workshop titled "Think Big, Start Small: The Path to Entrepreneurship". Conducted by Md. Abir Ul Islam, Mentor, Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), the session provided students with practical knowledge and tools to embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

Dhaka, Bangladesh – November 18, 2024: As part of its commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent, Daffodil Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET) hosted a transformative workshop, "Think Big, Start Small: The Path to Entrepreneurship," from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The session, led by Md. Abir Ul Islam, Mentor at the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), empowered students with crucial insights into building successful entrepreneurial ventures.

The workshop covered a range of topics designed to guide participants through the entrepreneurial process:

  1. Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship: Students explored the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, understanding how both drive innovation and impact.
  2. Developing Entrepreneurial Skills as a Student: Practical strategies for cultivating entrepreneurial habits and skills during their academic journey.
  3. Exploring Resources and Opportunities: Identifying resources, networks, and global opportunities that support entrepreneurial development.
  4. Technology for Entrepreneurship: Learning how to leverage technology to become versatile entrepreneurs.
  5. Learning Pathways: Insights on what, where, and how to learn effectively for entrepreneurial success.
  6. Workshop Project: Team-based Demo Product Development: Participants collaborated in teams to develop a prototype or demo product, applying the concepts discussed.
  7. Creating an Innovative Idea Profile: Students were introduced to the importance of maintaining an innovative idea profile and using business dashboards under mentorship.

This hands-on workshop not only equipped students with entrepreneurial knowledge but also fostered teamwork, creativity, and practical application of ideas.

Md. Abir Ul Islam emphasized the importance of starting small but thinking big, urging participants to explore innovative solutions and take advantage of mentorship and resources available to them.

The event concluded with students presenting their demo projects and receiving constructive feedback from the mentor, setting them on a promising path toward entrepreneurial success.
