Dhaka, Bangladesh — Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Bangladesh 2023 is in full swing, marking the 16th annual campaign dedicated to celebrating and empowering entrepreneurs across the nation. This inspiring week of entrepreneurship festivities is being held from November 13th to November 19th, 2023.
GEW, a global movement celebrated in over 200 countries, serves as a catalyst for innovation and economic growth. This year, more than 78 partner organizations, including educational institutions, chambers of commerce, government agencies, and youth organizations, have joined forces to host over 200 events across 30 districts in 8 divisions throughout Bangladesh. An estimated direct participation of over 100,000 individuals is anticipated, with an additional outreach to over 3 million people through online connections.
The Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University, in collaboration with GEN Bangladesh, kick-started the festivities with a grand gathering at the prestigious 71 Auditorium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event saw the participation of startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, mentors, investors, and more.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, encouraging them to embrace and celebrate the entrepreneurial journey of Bangladesh. Dr. Khan emphasized the importance of collective efforts in enhancing the entrepreneurial support ecosystem and called for unity to foster innovation and ensure sustainability in the nation's entrepreneurial landscape.
K M Hasan Ripon, the GEW National Host, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all partners and supporters who have played a pivotal role in bringing GEW2023 to life. He acknowledged the unwavering dedication and hard work of the entire GEW team across Bangladesh.
